Riding at Country Hotel Mandra Edera

Mandra Edera combines horseback riding tradition with the love of horses.  For generations, this family has passed on their passion for this noble animal and today visitors can take advantage of their riding experience and knowledge at their well-equipped and well-groomed riding stable.  The approximately 40 horses are pure Sardinian Anglo-Arabians and most of them were born, raised, and trained on the estate.  Thanks to the quiet and horse-appropriate style of training, these horses are not only well-trained, but also trusting, calm, and have strong nerves, all of which is very important for riding through the countryside, especially for begining riders.

Advanced riders, who want to practice and improve the "art of riding", also find themselves satisfied at this estate, as advanced courses in dressage and jumping are also available.  Connected to the rider stable are two sand arenas, one designed to tournament standards, a stall with a tack room, and various sized paddocks.  The horses are healthy, well-groomed and are exercised daily.

An experienced riding instructor gives qualified lessons for all levels from beginner to advanced.  Participants can choose between three off-the-estate horseback riding tours.  Those in the nearby surroundings last 2 - 3 hours, but several-day trips are also available.  All of these trips include breaks for the horses and their riders and excellent bag meals.  The horseback riding lessons and the tours are individually arranged.  In this way a horseback riding vacation is even affordable for those with a small wallet.  Specifically, each horse lover can spend just as much or little as he or she plans.
